Round 1 10.00am - 11.00am
Round 2 11.15am - 12.15pm
Round 3 12.30pm - 1.30pm
Round 4 2.00pm - 3.00pm
Round 5 3.15pm - 4.15pm
Round 6 4.30pm - 5.30pm
Prizegiving 6.00pm or as soon as possible after last round.
Rate of play: 25 minutes each with 10 second increment per move.
RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
- The August 2023 ECF Rapidplay ratings will be used to determine seeding.
- In lieu of a Rapidplay rating, the organisers will determine a player’s rating based on other available information (eg. Standard play rating, online etc)
- Seeded Swiss pairings will be made by controllers using a computer program based on ECF or comparable rules. Pairings between members of the same family or club etc. will be avoided, if possible, at the sole discretion of the controller.
- The current FIDE Laws of Chess will apply.
- No time penalty for 1st completed illegal move but 2nd illegal move forfeits the game.
- All fees must be paid before play starts. Late entries at the venue are at the discretion of the organisers; please phone first to check availability of places.
- All prizes are subject to the number of entries.
- If a player qualifies for more than one prize, the higher valued prize shall be awarded as determined by the Controller.
- Smoking is not permitted on the premises.
- Mobile Phones must be switched off or on silent.
- Tournament equipment may not be removed from the playing area.
- Photos of the event will be taken and used for publicity, please inform the organisers if you do not want your or your child’s image to be published.
- Players agree to abide by the decisions of the controllers and accept that in all matters relating to the tournament the decisions of the organisers are final.
